Melissa

Melissa was born in Massachusetts and raised in Middle Tennessee, and she now proudly calls Murfreesboro home. Her passion for veterinary medicine began through the deep and meaningful bond she shared with a beloved dog—an experience that opened her eyes to just how powerful, healing, and life-changing the human-animal bond can be. That connection inspired her desire to work in a field where she could make a positive difference in the lives of pets and the people who love them.

She joined Blue Oasis in September 2025 and was immediately drawn to the clinic’s Fear Free certification and commitment to a transparent, compassionate approach to care. Melissa values creating a welcoming and supportive environment where pets feel safe and pet parents feel informed and confident. She especially appreciates that clients are encouraged to be involved in their pet’s care and fully understand the treatment options and decisions being made.

Melissa holds an Approved Veterinary Assistant Career Diploma from Penn Foster and is dedicated to continuing her education and professional growth within the veterinary field. She takes pride in providing thoughtful, patient-focused care and is always eager to expand her skills and knowledge.

At home, Melissa shares her life with her husband, two dogs and two cats, who keep her busy and constantly remind her why she loves what she does. Outside of work, she enjoys training her dogs, attending local events, and spending time outdoors—whether she’s kayaking, traveling, or exploring new adventures with her family and pets.
