AAHA-Accredited Hospitals: Champions for Excellent Care

What is an AAHA hospital?

An AAHA hospital refers to a hospital accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association. It's a voluntary accreditation society where veterinarians and veterinary hospitals can request to be evaluated based on certain standards and policies that set high expectations for pet care. Our hospital voluntarily undergoes evaluation against over 900 standards.

What does it mean for you to be accredited by AAHA?

Being accredited by AAHA means that we've requested the American Animal Hospital Association to evaluate our hospital. The process involves trained veterinarians or veterinary technicians coming on-site to assess if we are meeting or exceeding the set standards.

How can you become an AAHA accredited hospital?

To become an AAHA accredited hospital, the process begins by requesting to become an AAHA accredited member. We are then given all of the standards and we build our hospital protocols, policies, and team around these standards.

After meeting these standards, why should a pet owner look for an AAHA accredited clinic?

An AAHA accredited clinic operates at an exceptionally high standard of veterinary medicine, similar to a human hospital. Not all veterinary facilities are required to be accredited, and only about 12 to 15 percent are. Being accredited means we've invested in our team, facility, protocols, and policies to provide the best care for your pet.

If you're seeking a pet hospital, consider an AAHA hospital. Look for the AAHA emblem. If you're in the Mount Juliet or Nashville area, we would love to see your pet!
